Hi! To even get to this page, thank you so much! Here’s just a little backstory for why I’ve started Cup of J.

I’ve always wanted to work for myself and own my own business but it always felt like an idea that could never be achieved. Working with people has always been a struggle and I find socialising exhausting which is ironic considering all my jobs have been really people focused. The push came when I had my little boy at the end of 2023. My priorities completely changed and I couldn’t imagine a moment spent working away from my baby. Then Cup of J was born. I started making mugs when he was only one month old at my living room table and it’s taken a lot of practicing and mistakes to get the style of mug I am happy with. After a lot of brainstorming for names, my partner suggested Cup of J based on the slang ‘cup of joe’ for coffee and J being the first letter of my son’s name given he’s the reason for starting this little business.

I’ve always loved mugs and can’t seem to walk past them without adding to my huge collection but drinking a hot cup of tea became even more rare and enjoyable when my little boy came along. They are definitely moments I romanticise! I have absolutely loved making personalised mugs for my loved ones whilst my baby boy has been cwtched (cuddled) up on my chest in the sling during his naps in my living room. Each one is made with love 🤍
